Interlocking armored cable aluminum tape is a special aluminum tape used for cable armor. It is mainly made of 5000 series (such as 5052, 5154) aluminum alloys, pre-pressed into an "S" shaped curved surface through a special process, and rotated to wrap around the cable core.
The curved surfaces interlock with each other to form a self-locking armor sheath. It is an important component for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of cables and is widely used in the protection of various types of armored cables.

The strip joints are manufactured using a cold welding process, resulting in stable post-weld performance that fully meets the requirements of interlocking armoring processes.
Good longitudinal and radial mechanical strength, with strong tensile, impact, and fatigue resistance.
Elongation meets standards, ensuring no cracking or breakage during interlocking.
Significant lightweight advantages: Density is only about 1/3 that of galvanized steel strip, significantly reducing the overall cable weight and facilitating transportation and laying.
Outstanding corrosion resistance: Resists harsh environmental corrosion without additional anti-corrosion treatment, offering a long service life superior to traditional galvanized steel strip.
Good bending performance and processability: Small bending radius, can be bent 360°, facilitating on-site processing and installation.
Customizable sizes, low cost, can replace traditional steel strip armoring, and is suitable for various complex scenarios such as construction and mining.
Medium and low voltage power cables (0.6/1kV to 35kV)
Aluminum alloy conductor power cables
Specialty cables for special scenarios (submersible pump cables, cables for hazardous environments)
Armored optical fiber cables for communication
Interlocking cable armor aluminum strip VS Cable armored aluminum strip

1. Interlocking Type: Pre-pressed "S"-shaped concave-convex surface (with raised edges and grooves), adjacent aluminum strips can interlock, wrapping overlap rate 20%~25%, tilt angle 7~9 degrees.
2. Standard Type: Mostly flat, without special concave-convex structure (some can be simply rough-rolled), only overlapping/gap winding, no interlocking, overlap rate ≥15%.
1. Interlocking Type: Requires pre-rolling, curved surface forming, precise control of wrapping angle and overlap rate, requiring 360° bending without cracks, high precision requirements.
2. Standard Type: Simple process (mainly cold rolling and cutting), some require simple longitudinal wrapping/wrapping, only needing to meet basic flatness and thickness deviation requirements.
1. Interlocking Type: Strong protection, resistant to strong impact, extrusion, and dragging, resistant to deformation without rebound; excellent corrosion resistance (no red rust after 500h salt spray), can also serve as a shielding layer to reduce eddy current loss. 2. Standard Type: Basic protection, only resistant to minor damage and corrosion, lacks anti-rebound and strong impact resistance; some require a shielding layer; no significant eddy current control effect.
1. Interlocking Type: Good flexibility (minimum bending radius 7 times outer diameter), can be bent 360°, suitable for confined/complex environments, no need for cable trays, easy on-site processing, suitable for direct burial, indoor and outdoor exposed installation, etc.
2. Standard Type: Moderate flexibility (bending radius ≥ 15 times outer diameter), difficult to lay, requires cable trays/pipes, suitable for conventional direct burial, pipe laying, etc., poor flexibility.
1. Interlocking Type: Suitable for harsh/special environments, such as MC cables, submersible pump cables, petrochemical/mining hazardous environment cables, medium and low voltage power cables, and high-rise buildings, subways; also suitable for international Interlocked Armor cables.
2. Standard type: Suitable for general protection needs, such as ordinary medium and low voltage power, communication and control cables, mostly used in urban power grids, community power distribution and ordinary industrial plants.
